    I am in the same vote. I decided to get 15 new chicks and start again!!! My old layers are going to auction once the new chicks are almost ready. My only dilemma is do I get a rooster or not?????

    Hi Gmc..... I tried the straw and now they have't gone in the nests. I think the one hen that is laying on the ground is dropping it there and it breaks. Then the others go to town. thanks for everything.

    Watched an egg laid today!

    How cool!!!!! I saw my Aracuana lay her first egg on Sunday!!!! She finally laid her second egg on Wednesday! I have been waiting and I can't believe I was there to see the first one laid!!!!! Yes everyone around here thinks I have lost my mind!

    I have 3 Aracuanas. They are adorable and friendly. My one just started laying eggs. She has been super friendly this last week. The kids carry her around. She loves it!

    Jkm.... hope you find the eggs in the nests tonight!!!!! My Aracuana just laid her first egg in the mulch in front of the house. Since Sunday I have kept all the chicks penned up. Still haven't gotten my second egg yet. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to lay regularly?

    Chicken wheezing then hiccup

    My chicken is having the same problem with the wheezing and sneezing. She is also getting picked on by my other hen today. Just wondering if your chicks have recovered?
