    So a brooding hen was in a seperate part of the coup, while seperated in there I intorduced 4, 6 week old chicks .She left them alone and didn't get off of the eggs . a couple of days later she was keeping them warm under her feathers. A week later she hatched to chicks and all was well.2 datyts...

    I am 6 months in to raising chickens. One hen is and has been sitting on eggs for 4 days now, Is there anything special I should do ? The eggs are in the nesting box right on plywood as these hens kick the shavings ou?.thanks for your help

    My 5 month old silkie roo attacks my 4 yr old daughter? He flew up at her today scratching her arms, til I got there and gave him a GOOD KICK..Not to worry he's fine. Do I have to get rid of it? or is it trainable..or is it the pot?

    thank you for all of your good advice, we won't be leaving them alone.... We would miss them too much......so we will stay home

    we are not feeling well

    My 4 year old daughter is coughing and my wife woke up with a sore throat. We have 4 newborn chicks now and there are more on the way (4 out of 24 eggs). Do I have to worry about the chicks getting sick from them?

    my first lil bird has trouble holding her head up . at 24 hr is that right?? she seem very active though.

    So I had 1 of 15 eggs hatch at 21 days .Its been here for 24 hrs put it cant seem to pick up its head. it moves and peeps and kicks put can't get upright???
