Well I marked the eggs with the date that I put them under...and they were fresh withing a day or so. I guess they could be hatching. I guess since they looked more "dented" than outward that is what got me thinking. But...one egg was first...then the other...so maybe they are hatching. OMG this...

I had two broody orps. I closed the best box for a few days and that seemed to do the trick. That was easier for me rather than a dog kennel. The other girls just layed around the run. Now everything is open again and all is well

I think it is more that people give rabbits greens that have a lot of water content such as lettuce. If you give them "good" greens that have a lower water content then they will be fine. For some reason when people think of feeding greens they generally think of lettuce and not all the other...

Whatever is was...it was big. Maybe then it was shedding the intestinal lining. It was semi clotted and the glob of blood was about as big as the yolk would be. There was no yellow yolk at all. Nothing in the box today that looked like that. 3 beautiful eggs :-) Thanks for responding.

what a great idea. I happen to have two 55 gallon barrels that I bought to collect rain water but didn't get around to hooking them up. I can set them up with some straw I guess and that will at least keep them out of the wind and ice.

I know my parrot does that when she is trying to "pop" her ears. I've noticed my girls doing it once in a while, so I assume that is what they are doing.

I think I am going to do this in my run after the winter but I have a few questions. The girls are eating the grass now and enjoying that but I can see they will have all of that gone in about a month or so, but then winter will be here :-) Sorry I didn't see an answer for the question about...
