Thank you for your reply! And also sorry for my late reply - she went to the vet recently and they did the test you suggested: they found the raspyness had gone, and there were no worms in her droppings. I usually worm my hens with FluBenvet
The only thing now is to build her up a bit: I’m...
Hello,
Over the past 5 days Two of my hens (aged 2 and 3) both have watery green poo, are not eating (they have very small, almost empty crops). They have both lost 70 grams or so over the past week
The 3 year old went to the vet who said that she had a slight raspy ness in her lungs but ...
Aaah I thought it had completely broken - if it’s just cracked, try lubricating the vent with Vaseline/olive oil and see if she passes it whole: she needs to pass it within a day or so before it becomes dangerous

yesterday my 3 year old hen fell out of my arms when I was standing up, she probably fell around 3-4 feet. She didn’t fly down she fell sideways with her wing out. Afterwards she was making weird sneezing/breathing noises. Will she be ok? How can I tell if I damaged anything? She’s singing...
Hello my 1 year old hen has suddenly recently got a hoarser deeper voice than usual. She is eating and drinking normally and is digging around normally too.
I did feed them fish skin today but I’m wondering if she swallowed it whole to stop the others getting to it. If it is the fish skin, will...
They said it was a polyp? (I think that’s how you spell it) and it was on the inside of her but grew so it popped out and was causing her discomfort. It’s not harmful, but if it gets infected it could have potentially killed her so they gave us the option of either keeping her on antibiotics for...
