How long will my eggs last in the fridge?

Not sure if I understand it correctly but, are you using the 'sharpie' directly on the eggs? If so STOP. The shell is porous and that ink can seep into the egg itself. I use a crayon as it is non-toxic wax and will not leach into the shell. I have kept eggs in the fridge for a couple of...

15 month hen has never laid

They are not free range per se but thier run is 80 feet by 50 feet so lots of room to roam. But nowhere to hide the eggs. Like I say she is picked on a lot and maybe she is just too stressed to lay.

15 month hen has never laid

I have a flock of 9 hens and 1 rooster. They are of mixed ages between 3 years and 15 months. All the hens but one started laying when they were supposed to and have laid consistently ever since. The one hen that has never laid is at the bottom of the pecking order and I was wondering if that...

    Bow legged Rooster?

I have a 5 month old Barred Rock Roo who has always walked a little funny. His legs are bowed-in and he seems unstable. He also seems to have lost some size in the last few weeks although we have had a real stretch of cold snowy weather so that may be the reason. His feathers look good. His...
