    I was thinking the same thing. $40 per bird. Wether it be for the taste (he ate the Roos head) or the fun of it. If it gets loose I expect to see it again. Tomorrow I will nicely tell the owner that I won't tolerate the dog in the yard and make sure that he understands NH law on the subject.

    When do Wyandottes generally start laying?

    My girls are 26 weeks and still no eggs.. With less hours of daylight now does that mean I will have to wait until spring? Just seems crazy.

    24 Weeks and still no eggs!!!!!!! I must e doing something wrong. I don't get it. The breeds are Wyandotte, EE and Australorp. They're getting layer pellets, table scraps and plenty of water with ACV. Advice please this is ridiculous.

    If we do hatch some eggs, what are some opinions on the best combination? Again, he is a BR and then we have an EE, SLW, GLW, and Australorp pullets. Also the fact that he's a BR isn't that suppose to make it easier to sex the chicks?

    I'm surprised! They girls resist him. He usually grabs them by the back of the neck as they run away and squawk. One girl has lost some feathers on the back of her neck. Otherwise they are no worse off.
