I am not a frequent user of the forum but I encountered a problem with one of my hens this morning... My sussex bantam Roxy, 8 months old was much quiether than her usual vocal self and she seemed paler than usual. She was very fluffed up around the face and was makign croaking...

I don't think she is in pain as i can touch her legs and she doesn't crumble, she is chirping occasionally but much quieter than her usual self. She is also standing on her elbows...
Thanks so much for your quick response...Poultry spice is only a mineral supplement (she does not have this every day) it contains protein, oil, fibre, ash, calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium. I have given some to her today.
