    what a pleasure it has been. 7 days ago I took 3 ex battery's hens and saved them from slaughter... they were terrified and we very weak. now they are living the life of Riley! dust bathing, sun bathing, scratching about.

Agnes is a 3 year old silkie; about 2 months ago she had an egg stuck, I did the deed and got it out; she then went down hill and I think she had egg peritonitis, she had 2 courses of antibiotics biotics and amazingly seemed to make a full recovery.. except...

    Also.. check the coop for red mite.. Google how to do this. They are red because they such blood from birds at night . . Can make the birds anemic and really really ill. I've experienced this first hand x
