    One of our broody silkies just hatched our first home made chicken this morning. we have two silkies sitting, each have around a dozen eggs. Many of them stolen from other hens, including orpington.

    you can get a 12volt direct current power supply from any 2nd hand thrift store. the fan can come from any old computer. i have two of the lg's and the hold temps better than my hovabator. just make sure the fan blows up toward the top of the bator. bob
