hello! i recenlty hatched out some chukar. I ended up with 18 of them. I know I dont want to keep them all and I was wondering what they usually go for if sold? I am in ct and have not been able to find any prices to compare them too. anyone ever buy these birds?
3 days ago i was given 2 hens the first day i got them they both layed an egg. the one on the left is from day 1. this morning which is day 3 of having them i found the egg on the right in the nesting box. any ideas why it has that white ring around it? ive never seen anything like it
so i got some local duck eggs to hatch today. I never wash my eggs before incubating but these seem pretty dirty. wondering if their is another way to clean them or if i should just leave them alone?
good morning everyone ! Ive had had and hatched quail in the past and I really miss having a smaller bird in my backyard. I have ben seeing chukar eggs for hatching here and there and wanted to know if anyone has raised these birds? I hear the eggs are just as good and the meat from these birds...

I have heard a lot of good things about the brinsea they dont seem to have a large egg capacity (at least the ones ive seen people use) but maybe that is a good thing for me LOL
i went to the local pet store and the fish department had plenty of styro boxes to give away. I took out the parts from my hova bator (after melting it next to the wood stove in a power outage LOL) and put everything in the styro works great!!! I have hatched quail, chickens and I have duck eggs...
hello everyone! I love hatching eggs and I have used a hova bator a couple times and built 2 incubators ...one out of an aquarium and one out of a styro cooler both work great and i am currently using them. However i would like somethin easier to control and more sturdy. I have 2 boys a baby on...
I am a candle-a-holic LOL I have some pics of almost every day when ive done incubation before! haha i know its better for the eggs not to be handled so much but I cant resist wanting to see them grow!
I have duck eggs in the bator ...magpies, cayugas and sweedish. I really want to try not to handle the eggs and was wondering what other people do for candleing. Do you candle more than once or wait until day 25 before moving them out of the turner? Thank you!
well I did post in ducks and I know this is for chickens BUT I have DUCK EGGS IN MY INCUBATOR!!! keeping my fingers crossed that the power doesnt go out! (did that to me last storm when i was incubating :( ...) poor planing lol?! I am going to be starting chicken eggs in another bator in a week...
