    let the temp come back up to where it shuts off and see where you are at...it should not have to be adjusted but there is always a chance...I have only once had to up it a little bit after taking the turners out but that was for a batch of bantam eggs...i have never had an issue with the larger...

    LG still air as a hatcher????

    we have LG and Hovabators....and love them...we have 92% + hatch rate....i will not go to the forced air unless i build my own....which i have this wonderful cabinet...wonder if DH would miss it...ha ha ha...just kidding...

    Temp for Still Air Bator

    i set my thermometer on top of the eggs in my homemade turner and keep the temp between 99.5 and 100.5 and i have a 92% hatch rate.

    we hatch maran eggs...and they are tough...we wait til day 7 and then shut off all lights in basement...we have a makeshift candler...its a wood box with a small hole cut in the top...we then took a mouse pad and cut a hole the same size...we put a 100 watt bulb in the bottom...and when you set...

    he should be ok if hes not bleeding...but usually if you just leave that alone...sometimes they havent absorbed all of the yolk sack yet...and that will dry up and fall off after a day or so.

    i need help!!

    hovabators are very easy to stabilize...we set ours and our LG in the basement because there are no temp fluctuations down there...no windows to let the sun come in and no furnace vents to worry about...also noone bumps them because they are down there.

    Temp. fluctuations

    all three of my bators are LG but we dont do the ones with the forced air....ours are still air...we set them in the basement so that there is no furnace to change the temp...we shut the vents down there...and there is no window to allow the sun to come in and mess up the temps.
