First of all I have not read all of the replies of other members (so sorry if I repeat), but here is my take on the situation.
Something very simular happened to me when both of my parents died (one when I was 18 the other when I was 19) grief brings out the best and worst in families. Trust...
Glad to hear that Mike is doing better. I hope his recovery continues with no major set backs. With any luck the two of you will be able to shoot your own fireworks, but it not maybe some of your neighbors will shoot some that you will be able to see.
Wow what a blessing you are to her right now! Who knows maybe a good (and Cheap!) starter will come your way. Until then I hope that everything starts looking up for this lady.
**UPDATE**
Thanks for all of the prayers!
Well it is so far so good with the chicken sitting...no problems! (Except Foghorn (the rooster) pecked at me yesterday when I went to check on them. Thankfully no injuries to me or to him!
Also DBF seems to be ok at his job. No one has made a...
I know that I am still really new here, and I don't knw anyone that is on here, but I really need prayers.
First of all I am ckicken sitting my co-workers chickens while they are on vacation...this only makes me want my chickens sooner, but I am not ready at all to have them.

Although we are not married yet(?!?!?) we are both volunteer fire fighters and we met on a woods fire. It was one of his first calls and it happened to be on February 15, 2003. WOW I can't believe it has been 6 years since we first met:)
That's wonderful news! I'm sorry you have to wait so long, but you are doing the right thing by getting everything in order for their arrival. I love my goats and often wonder what I did without them. I tell people all of the time that goats are the best pets I have ever had.
So I have been looking y'all over and decided that I just couldn't stand not being part of the group. So I finally became a member!
Although I don't have my feather children yet I still think that chicken owners are the best people in the world!
