    We're planning to go away for a couple of days and I'm wondering about eggs that are laid while we are gone. Will they still be edible if left out? Basically, how long can they be left out before needing to be refrigerated?

    Did I say I was just looking for egg color? No, I did not. However, that is IMHO one of the beautiful things about the breed, in addition to all of their other fine qualities.
