We have Hurricane Matthew barreling this way (Brunswick GA) I have ten chickens in my backyard, I have a coop we made from pallets in early spring, we also have a small 6 hen house within that coop. My question is, if we have to leave for a few days what do I do what my hens? I've never left...

Thank you so much, she's out there now just pacing the fence! I'm leaving them locked up for today and I'll do away with her porch nest! I love her laying there on the porch but I can't always leave her out all day to do her business. Hopefully one day she will lay in the boxes I have for them!

Has anyone cut the primary feathers off of their birds? I'm having issues with them flying in my neighbors yard and getting stuck. Do you think trimming would solve this issue? Or am I screwed? It's about a 4-4 1/2 ft chain link fence. I don't want to clip if it's not going to help anything.
