    Chick needs help!

I have a clutch of eggs under a hen, due to hatch tomorrow. 1 has already hatched. It seems 1 egg had been kicked out and it has become accidentally damaged. The shell has come partly off and the inner lining split a little. Blood has come out of this split. The chick is chirping. My question is...

Thanks for that I will do it first thing in the morning. We feel just awful about it. He hasn't lost his appetite thankfully

It was a hard pregnancy and the heat was unbearable over summer for me. We love him too much to not fix our mistake.

I appreciate your caring but we are able to care for him. We've checked the rest of our 30+ flock and he's the only one we've missed.

A picture of the bottom of his feet is harder with a toddler screaming at me so give me a few mins to organise that What are you looking for on the bottom?

So I've recently had my 2nd child (7 weeks old, other is 23 months) and we've neglected to notice that our favourite hand raised rooster has the most serious case of scaly feet mites I've ever seen! He has a large abscess on 1 leg and has become quite lethargic. I've got Avitrol in the cupboard...

    Broken sternum/keel

Its not really an option for us, an xray is too expensive.

    Broken sternum/keel

Since I've been hand feeding her and tempting her with chicken treats I actually think she may have put on a couple of extra grams. I will keep my eye on it though thanks

No air sac I'm afraid. Just the hard bone or cartilage ridge.

    Broken sternum/keel

She's not really letting me pluck feathers, its distressing her which I would like to avoid. There is no air sac, it is literally a ridge of bone similiar to a breast bone but a bit thicker feeling. I've been able to get her to eat treats and she is drinking some water on her own. As its summer...

She's moulting so it shouldn't be too hard to get the feathers out. I will have a go in the morning. She's still very interested in food, just cant balance very well or bend forward to get to it. If I hold it in my hand to the side of her head she eats whatever I give her

I thought wrapping was a good idea but then I doubted myself. Thanks!
