She's not really letting me pluck feathers, its distressing her which I would like to avoid. There is no air sac, it is literally a ridge of bone similiar to a breast bone but a bit thicker feeling. I've been able to get her to eat treats and she is drinking some water on her own. As its summer here we have been giving her more water morning and night with a syringe. To watch her its like she cant reach forward so her head is sitting back behind the ridge. I dont think this picture will help but its the best she let me get.Can you pluck the feathers from the area so we can see what's going on better?
If she can't eat/drink you will need to tube feed, which we can teach you how to do.
