Thank you for the reply! I keep putting Vaseline on it and messaging. It feels like an egg is in there but I just can't see it like I could before and it seems like there is a lot more swelling, tearing and redness.. I will watch the video! Thanks again!!!

Hey All, I thought our little blue OEG hen was egg bound but I am really not sure now... Her vent seems torn and swollen and it feels like she has an egg in there but there is blood and she seems to still have poop, albeit runny, coming out.. I attached a pic, it is gross, the white is poop...

Did you decide to do the wood nesting boxes instead of the plastic? If so was there a reason? We are just setting up our 10x8 resin shed now and trying to figure out the inside and what works best? The coop looks great!

How long do these take to set up.. I think we are going to get a couple, one for our backyard flock and one for our little show/breeding bantams..

She is coming around!!!!! She is walking pretty much normal, her feathers are coming back and she even laid an egg!!! I seriously thought we were going to lose her and she is starting to look good again! Thanks everybody!!

Sorry I didn't see the other two posts.. I am sorry for your loss Gitabooks, what a cute girl. I will try the Vit D3 supplement and see if that helps she is standing straight up more now and and can walk a few more steps without the dipping but still does it after about 3 steps..I hope this is...

Thanks Coopmama!! I hope she gets better too.. She actually seemed to get a bit better this weekend so keeping my fingers crossed. She can walk a bit better now and doesn't drop down as often so hopefully something is improving.. Thanks again all!!

She doesn't really walk like that, I should have taken a video.. Her legs actually gives out and she dips her whole body to keep balance. She will then stand fine on both then take a step and go down to her hock she will then walk a bit on her hocks while kind of using her wings for balance. I...
