Once my Roo learned he could make such an impressive noise, he does it constantly. He’s very proud of himself!! He’s 22 weeks old now and sounds like a pro! It was pretty pathetic and cute in the beginning. I’m having to deal with mixed sex feeding as well!!! Good luck!
Thanks!!! Any particular feed you like? We’ve been giving them Dumor Organic their entire lives. Didnt know if there is a better one. They’ve also been on crumble all of their 23 weeks and we are considering moving them to pellets.
Hi all!!!! I have a rooster and 3 hens. It hit me the other day that my Rooster probably shouldn’t be eating layer food as it’s not designed for him. I was correct but now I’m stuck.
What can I feed them all? They live in the same large coop/run and all eat freely. What can I feed them...
I know it’s not a Japanese maple. It’s one of the common maples in Florida. I have to look at the leaves and double check but I am pretty sure it’s a red maple.
I’ve just read that red maples are poisonous to chickens but I can’t find why. There is a maple tree near my coop that will eventually be tall and somewhat over the run area. I’m just trying to get info on what they can’t eat of the maple and why. Thanks!!!

Hi all. I’m reposting as I only got one response and it wasn’t super helpful unfortunately.
Hi all! I wanted to ask if what I hear are sneezes or just a puff of air to clear nose. I notice after my 6 week olds eat, drink, or scratch in the pine shavings- they do this thing that sounds like a...

My (4) 6 week old chicks have refused any enrichment we’ve tried! They don’t even like the mirror! They huddle in whatever corner is furthest away from whatever we try to give them. Even last night, we put their bigger hanging feeder in to get them used to it (we are moving them to their big...
Thanks! They will go outside next week after this last cold front/rain leaves the area! I want them out for many reasons but will miss them for even more reasons!
