    We bought 3 hens last saturday that had been laying, well tomarrow will be a week since they have been here and not one egg yet. after a move how long til they will start again?

    Just curious, What is a good egg producing breed?

    New to this, we bought some dark cornish. Some say they are good egg layers, some say they aren't. I guess time will tell. I am curious what is your opinion on the best egg producers. Thanks for your advice in advance.

    Wow, like i said im totally new to this, but my wife had chickens as a child, with this economy we figured we would try to collect the eggs and maybe later on might start to hatch some. Thank you for the info. so far i have learned a lot on this site

    Greeting from Kentucky

    Hello all, My wife decided she wanted laying hens. We bought 6 yesterday and a rooster. I found this site looking for info on dealing with them since i have never messed with chickens before. So any suggestions would be great.
