    INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Things are good for us; just busy homeschooling and living life. :-) Anyways, I have a beautiful Blue Ameraucana Rooster who is looking for a new home. He is great with us, but a little too aggressive to our other bantam roosters. Was wanting to breed him...

    INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Had a DELIGHTFUL time at the Veedersburg Sale Barn tonight. Bought some amazing birds (aka spent too much money), and now need to quickly find a second coop. Obviously not sure yet if they will all become permanent members of the family, but everyone gets a good first chance. Shawna, I am...

    INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hey gang, hope you all are well. Happy Friday to you! I posted on the egg forum and not much success getting an answer so might as well try here. Since I have been home, one week tonight, I have only received 4 eggs from my (8) laying hens and my (5) twenty-five week old pullets. I have read...

    Help! Missing Eggs??!

My hens get a great organic layer feed with oyster shells mixed in. I am home 80% of the day and check the nesting boxes here and there. They free range, but have always free ranged with no problem laying. Just extreme change in behavior, and I do not know how to rectify.

    Help! Missing Eggs??!

I have a lovely mixed flock of about 45 birds. I just returned from being gone for 3 weeks, and my egg production has come to a near stop. Prior to leaving I had 8 mature hens and was averaging 5 a day. I had 5 more pullets that are now 25 weeks old. So in my calculations around 13 chickens who...

No, he just mowed it because it was tall and he thought he was doing us a service. We had planned on that being the calf's feed for the next 5 months or so. Now not so sure. It was a nice gesture, but not necessarily welcomed. I told my husband he could have just mowed our lawn and left our...

    INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hi everyone, I am back from South Dakota. Crazy long exhausting work. Glad to be home. Had an absolutely horrible experience with my chickens while gone. Lost 2 of my rare Blue Ameracaunas and 1 BCM. My coop is a disaster. My 'fake' eggs are missing along with my egg gathering basket. And my...

If they aren't the cutest ever, please don't tell me because my coop is now full. I hope everyone has a great day. These are CRSelvey's chickens and yes they are beautiful. Quite a nice colorful flock!! :-) (P.S. Sorry I am on my phone, and messed up this post and have no way of deleting)

    INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

First day of traveling with 7 vehicles, 19 people, and 800 miles down; just 6 hrs more to go. Only blew one tire so far, and hopefully will keep it like that! Friends are coming over to gather eggs while I am away, and yesterday my friend came over and happily gathering eggs from my coop...

I would say it is your barred rocks. My BRs layed brown freckled eggs. Pretty assortment of eggs you have. :-)

Happy Sunday Everyone; Be Richly Blessed!! We are packing up to head west for the next 3 weeks. I am trying not to stress and just trust all will be good, but wise enough to know I may lose a bird or two. For those of you heading to the party, have a great time! Looking forward to seeing...
