Thank you everyone for your help and advice I am beyond grateful.
However, despite our best efforts, as of 19:22 this evening Moltres has Unfortunately passed. Thankfully she died peacefully sleeping, curled up on a comfy blanket and pillows that we were using to support her.
So, we gave the sugar water like you suggested and she seemed to perk up quite quickly so we got hopeful and kept feeding her little bits at a time throughout the day based on how full her crop was.
We also had to take off the ointment clean the wound down and reapply because she decided to...
She's a black australorp so no she should be single combed.
If I put it in her mouth she'll swallow (most of the time) but otherwise she's not seeking it out herself no.
You have no reason to apologise, thank you for all your help.
She seems to be getting worse, we got some Manna pro hen ointment and yoghurt but couldn't get any supplements so we'll have to try again tomorrow. The wobble has gotten way worse to, now its not just her head wobbling but a complete lack of balance and an inability to stand by herself.
She's 9 weeks tomorrow but she's been in the outside run for 2-3 weeks before this incident so I don't know what made them so viscous especially in such a small amount of time. None of the others have been pecked before or since this incident (besides normal curiosity or disputes)
I'll definitely do that thank you for your advice, I hand fed her last night after I sent the last message but she's super slow to respond to it only seeming to realise there's food if I leaned her neck up normally, otherwise she'd just sit there with the food in her mouth and of the food I did...
Thank you so much for your help I will look into ointments, are there any specific ones youd recommend? Also did your bird also suffer from a wobble after the incident and lose balance or not really?
Mine keeps wobbling her head around a lot and ends up sleeping with her beak on the ground...

Hey everyone sorry its been a while since I've been around, we have a new batch of chickens and with a new batches comes new problems.
We had an incident yesterday with one of our birds in the run getting scalped (we assume by the other chickens since we have a camera...
I'll definitely keep an eye out but I watch them upwards of 12 hours a day currently and I've never seen them bully or be mean to the younger chicks. The other 4 just ignore them and these 2 did as well up until recently, plus it's not the younger chicks choosing to burrow its the older ones...
Hi all, so my as the title implies, a couple of my chicks seem to have gone broody.
For context:
I have 6 Buff Orpington chicks (all female) that will turn 6 weeks old on Wednesday, they are absolutely lovely and demanding cuddles which I am very much not opposed to.
However, about a week ago I...
