ok i am trying to locate a large live trap. I have several foot traps out already. What is the best bait? All this is new to me. DH works lots and I have 4 kids so I can not keep a gun loaded by the back door (or I would have had it already MAYBE;)) This had been going on for a while and I am...
we have had foot traps out for a few days where I suspect the den is located. Nothing. I know that this fox is very comfortable around my farm as I have seen it on my patio at 3 in the morning while I was awake nursing the baby. I have gotten up very early and stood in our stock trailer...
Anyone had any luck poisioning foxes? H ave a nightly visitor that I had wrote about a few days ago asking about the night guard lights. Anyhow I am thinking about trying to poisioning it with a dead bird injected full of antifreeze. I have no stray or domestic animals that run loose at night...
Yinepu- please let me kow if you are happy with them. It is more money than I want to spend if it doesn't work and I have seen conflicting reports when I look it up. As of right now I had the nephews set 2 foot traps where I believe their den is. He baited them with peanut butter (just what I...
i am wondering if anyone has tried those red blinking lihts that are supposed to mimic larger preditors. I think they are called night guard? They are advertised in poultry magazines and such. I have a fox problem. We have killed one this spring but have at least 2 more that are here EVERY...
I just moved my young pullets out of the brooder house and want to move some 10 day old turkeys in today. Should I disinfect with bleach or rocal D? I cleaned all the bedding out and it is sand under. Or are they fine to just go in with out disinfecting?
thanks
How should I go about introducing the goslings to the rest of the bunch? I would really like the adults to "adopt" them and start taking care of them to get them out of the brooder as I have a batch of turkeys that will need it very soon. The babies are 2 and 3 weeks old. Sofar we have gone...
If it were mine I would leave them all alone but have the incubator ready and watch them very carefully. I just had a silkie get off her nest with her 6 babies and napped the other 10;) eggs which I have hatched 6 more from.
I also have had horrible luck this year. I have set over 100 chinese eggs and hatched only 10. Of these 2 were malformed and died and two died at three days after being otherwise normal. I have 2 more batches set now but will just be making scrambled eggs from any eggs I still get. Too...
I am really happy to add that I have hatched 5 fuzzy babies and have 2 more piped!! 2 each day! LOVE this instant gratification hatching. Now if I could just figure out those goose eggs
I have 6 fuzzy new silkie babies outside hatched under their mamas. The hens are off the nest as of this morning. I went out to take a look and found about 12 unhatched eggs. My incubator is up and running. What are the chances that these eggs are still any good? I know that the other 2...
ok here we are again. On saturday I locked down 36 eggs. 45 to 50% humidity (because I couldn't get it any lower in this incubator. During the first 28 days humidity was about 35% in a different incubator. ) On Wednesday I had 4 pip through the shell. I have 2 hatched and doing really well...
