We will be moving into our farm mid July and I'm trying to find a hatchery that will ship us guinea chicks during the summer. Are guinea chicks just too delicate to ship during the summer? And do certain colors do better? As in, not get picked off by predators because they don't stand out as...
I joined this forum years ago when I was looking for chicks for my mom's farm, but now our family is getting our own farm. We are looking forward to getting guinea hens and possibly some chickens and geese that could stand up to being free range. I'm hoping you guys can help us learn what...
I think it'd okay to hold them if it's only once or twice a day and you're very careful. You have to teach kids how to hold baby animals. They don't understand until they see you show them how.
Wow. Yes, I know where Norman is. And yes it's the Stillwater OSU campus. My husband is going for his PHD in Accounting. He's not an animal person like me. My parents have a farm here and they are animal lovers like me. The chicks are actually for them. They just let me have them for a few days...
I have them on paper towels now.

Hanging out with my little dears. Got pooped on for it too. LOL.
My son enjoying one of our little ones.
Peaches, Vanilla and Squeaky
Here they are after they got their bums...

I need to know if this looks normal or not? Sorry it's with a phone, but I can get better pics tonight.
Here's the whole scoop...
Picked up these chicks yesterday at a feed store. There are approximately 7 days old and they are White Rock Pullets. Big and active. Eating and (I think)...
