What does your duck house look like?

Here's the super cute little house my hubby built for my new Pekins :) they are in a 50x50 run fenced with six foot wood fence with a six foot chain link front facing my house. They are locked in their house at night for safety but left out during the day. It has a very large hinged door on...

    Another newbie question about housing

Oh that's a good idea but my concern isnt the temperature it's that they are receiving adequate ventilation. Should I be checking for a specific humidity? And we are currently winter....right now lows about 40-45 at night and highs in 60's. We don't get too many nights below freezing luckily.

Hi. Brought home my four Pekins this morning. They are great! They are a little over two mos old. They were pretty easy to herd into their new house tonight I just have a question about that. It's 4x6 and we put vent holes covered with hardware cloth all the way around it and I'm wondering...

Help with duck house ( Newbie)

Thank you for the replies. I will leave food and water outside the house. Where I live (northern CA) I don't foresee it ever being too inclement of weather to turn them loose all day. We rarely dip below freezing here and that is only at night. I will need to build an eating area that is...

This just blows me away! I am an insurance agent for a major carrier in California and while inspections of a new property are the norm and tree branches overhanging a roof as well as "clutter" would be required to be corrected and proof provided in order for the policy to be continued I have...

Hi I have a hen that is broody and sitting on 4 eggs. I believe they should be due to hatch in a couple weeks but this puts it mid November ugh. I have only had a hen hatch eggs in spring/summer weather. How will this work out? Will she be able to keep them adequately warm?? She is in a...

Not sure what's happening or why but I'm worried

Thank you. I appreciate the insight. I have him currently separated and confined. I will see how it goes once I let him loose again and keep a close eye but he will for sure have to go if he is still that aggressive. :( Such a shame as he is such a gorgeous little guy.

Thank you for your reply. I did not notice any but to be honest I didnt check that day as I was just worried about her and didnt think of it. I will say that she has always refused to submit to them. I have seen her in the past actually send the little rooster rolling when he tried so I know...
