    New Hampshire!!

I met the boys and they are awesome. Paris walks around so proud for a little guy and is comical to watch. The other one, don't remember his name is very friendly and loves to be held. He kept falling asleep in my arm and was more content being held than I could ever imagine!

    Our Coop so far

I built the nesting boxes out of the side of my coop and they have a lid that I lift to get the eggs, makes it really easy and it gives you more floor space. The roosting perches we made come off the end and down to the floor, they are on hinges so when we need to clean we just lift them up...

    Wood ash to treat mice/lice?

I was searching around the forum and couldn't find an answer, since this is a current thread I figured I'd ask here. No problems with infestations, but I've noticed that my birds frequently are in my outdoor fireplace when they are free ranging. They go right into the ashes and scratch and...

    New Hampshire!

Sorry, I know I said I would post a time, I had gone and talked to them and they said that there was only one person they knew of that was coming with a duck. I did hear today that there was not a good turnout. Sorry to hear about your loss.

    Hen doesn't like to roost.

Sorry for the delay, I actually have the privilege of working with 2 different vets, I had read this and was going to contact them, but she was the one I lost to the neighbors dog. She is sorely missed and someday I will find one to replace her.

    New Hampshire!

I'm not sure on the hours, I will be down there Thursday night from 7pm to 7am working on the ambulance, so I can check then and post a time. Glad to see another member in the area, I'm in Jefferson, been buying lots of supplies at Home Depot! I've got the 4 Barred Rocks, they are like little...

    New Hampshire!

I do, it's actually closer for me to go there, I was working in Littleton and got out at 7am, so I stopped in the tractor supply there for some supplies for the birds.

    Dog attack

Good news is that mooshoo came back, we only lost waddles, it's always the favorite. She was the one I gave the most attention to as she wasn't as energetic and seemed to be older and slower than the rest. My neighbor is going to make sure the dog is secured and not running free, he still...

    First time chicken owner.

His dog is 50/50 on confinement. He actually was out with it today and didn't understand what was happening until it was too late. He feels bad, keeping it tied at all times now, but before he would let it run his yard if he was out with it and it stayed there and didn't come bother the...

    First time chicken owner.

4 weeks later and I've lost at least one of the birds to the neighbors dog. They wandered into his yard and one was confirmed killed, still missing one. Posted in another thread about it, moosho and waddles are the missing birds. I posted there, not sure, but will they now stay away from...
