I think your neighbor is an ***, you live in rural area that liek you said was zones for animals and such. If they didnt want to live 'country' they should have stayed within the city limits! You have a right to your chickens and the laws are on your side in this case...I hope they actually come...
I sure hope this little bird feels better soon, I hate it when my little girls are not feeling well so I know you must be upset like I would be. Goodluck and please keep us posted, I will be hoping and waiting to hear if she recovers from this injury! ~
OMG your poob baby :( This makes me so sad. What happened to her? I really hope she makes it thru this and recovers just fine! Your stronger than I am, I could never sit there and pick them nasty things off ...yucky!!! Good luck and like I said I hope she gets better :)
I use soccer netting over my coop. It is durable, keeps everyone safe and I have had ZERO issues with predators to date! However my fencing is also 6 to 7 feet tall. I think your going to have to do something else to keep them in and more importantly SAFE! Good Luck!! :)
Oh my, I feel so bad for her I really hope she recovers. I am so scared to find one of my ladies like that. I just dont know if I could handle it! I am very attached to them. I really hope she pulls through for you. I will be thinking of you and her, please keep us posted. Thanks and GOOD LUCK!!!
I really should get a rooster but Ive been told then I cannot eat the eggs as they will be fertilized....is this true? I do not want to hatch chickens but Id like a rooster for protection and I think they are so darn pretty, my 31 hens need a man around to protect them out in the sticks, lol...
my hens always sleep as high as they can get!. Chickens are descendants of jungle fowl and I believe they feel safer up high at night but I am not sure. I would look into the matter ASAP so your chickens are feeling safe at night! I know I wouldn't be sleeping well if my ladies were not feeling...
I am a no ******** kind of person and this is MY opinion. I would tell them people that until you hear it from a police officer or get legal papers in the mail they can just go on about their business and pretend they don't even know you have chickens. I don't care if they are nice people or...
I also have been putting my 6 weekers in with my year old hens daily for over a week now. I never even had my older hens blink an eye at the babies. What I did was bring my babies out into the run while the older ladies were locked in their coop. I let the babies run around for an hour. eat play...
