    I've got a flock of 16 month old chickens who are molting, along with 4 month old pullets who are just starting to lay. Will increasing the protien in the food to help out the molters harm the pullets?

    This cracked me up! I've been having the same problem, and managed to resist all season. Until today, when I had too much time on my hands at work and ended up looking at chick schedules for local feed stores. I'm fairly certain I'm not going to make it home tonight without new chicks.

    Hahaha, it took me a minute to figure out who Heather was. You're right, we can probably just forget her! Little Yoko was the only one who got a name--she was the apparent social outcast from the beginning. It's hard not to root for the underdog.

    I raised six chicks in a bathtub of a bathroom that I don't use. The tub had glass shower doors, so they were not able to escape; I hung a light in it and put wood bedding in the tub. It worked very well, so long as you don't mind your friends laughing at you just a little bit!
