    The third to last (Richard, a Golden Wheaten) and the next to last (Roger, a Silver Birchin) cockerels were purchased directly from the original importer, Mr. Lyle Behl, in Illinois. The others are a mix of Húsatóftor/Hlésey/Behl lines.

    From what hatchery are you getting your stock, please? I have been raising them about a year. I have 17 breeders and just hatched out 26 chicks a week ago and am hatching right now.

    If you have are on Facebook, check with Joe Fanning in Lynchburg. He has some fantastic pure Behl line Icelandic. He drove all the way to Illinois to pick up his original birds. I am waiting for eggs/chicks from his black and white pen (he also has a tan/red pen) to add to my Behl line.

    For what breed are you looking? There may be other breeders here in Oklahoma. I know of one commercial hatchery that can/t or won't tell me his source one one particular rare breed that I raise. So I sure don't buy from them.
