    Too many roosters? Need help!

    3 Roosters are fine for 25 hens, I used to have an addiction to hatching chickens a few years back and had about 6 roosters with 20 hens, of course, I got rid of all of them but I have been there. Don't worry about it unless things get a bit bloody among the roosters. Best of luck!

    She lived that long?? Amazing! You are a great chicken keeper. With the feet situation, She is a very old bird her body may be giving out. I am very shocked she lived this long.

    So I have been incubating eggs for about twelve days, I put 18 eggs in and had 17 developing very well! Until today. For about an hour and a half the power has been out, I was doing homestead activities outside so I had no idea about this. I came back in and saw the temp down to 80-83F Humidity...

    How long can eggs last before putting them under hen

    They can last about 7 days before they can be put under a hen. Just make sure the hen does not get to bored while she is waiting. ;)

    I did see a couple of them wattle a little. And I don't know if it was my imagination, but i thought I heard a chirp earlier this morning.

    Due to the pandemic...

    I am more close to the city. And our village is very perticular about self-isolation. I ended up buying some from Chewy.com. and got it yesterday. Thank you all for your help.

    Lockdown day 17?

    Hello. Today is day 17 of incubation and it is really exciting. Would it mess anything up if I locked down the eggs today? Or at least remove the turner. Because I don't want them to hatch on the opposite side of the egg when I lay them down flat. Thanks

    Remove turner? Or no.

    The first 3 days the temperature was up at 103.0F but that was before I got a thermometer. After those 3 days it has been around 100.2F Thank you!
