In lieu of the Carolina Aqua Horizontal Watering Nipples sold by Heritage Market, has anyone had any luck with using the similar types produced out of China? I've heard they're not the same. All sources for the Carolina Aqua nipple are out and have been for months.

Any way to tell how old a chicken is? Are there visual clues or signs that indicate rough age?

We’re about 700’ off the road on 60 acres. Some wooded areas, some coastal Bermuda hay field. Coop is near the house. Question: typically, how far will a free range chicken flock of 5 wonder?, we’re about to let our new flock out of the run for the first time since we rehomed them a week ago.

We’ve got 4 layers. Question: can one over feed hens, we throw bugs worms a few table scraps in run along with their daily ration of layer feed and scratch. No matter how often ya throw something in there, it’s gone!

It is Red! It should fade a bit over time in the sun as it faces South. Yes, Jen’s can get underneath coop. Does you chickens tear up flowers and garden ?

If I have 6 laying hens, and want to raise 5 more from chicks, when can I place the new chicks in the pen with the adult hens, provided I raise them inside the same pen but separated via chicken wire.
