    EE Roo?

Quote: Interesting. But the pictures of the chicks I found are all wrong. These are from McMurrey's site. This one had very distinct chipmunk striping from the top of the head to the tail. Ray

    EE Roo?

I'm not convinced it is an EE either. I was sure it was a Old English Game when it was younger but most thought it was an EE on this site from this picture when it was young. We ordered an EE from McMurrey on the same order and here she is at 5 weeks. Note the green legs and cheek tuffs...

    EE Roo?

This is my mystery chick from McMurrey. Early on, everyone guessed it to be an EE. I'm thinking it's a rooster. It's about 5 weeks old. Thoughts?

One more White Crested Polish to id

Ok two. Please help, I'm wanting to buy these two but I need to make sure they are hens. Any ideas? They are two months old. After reading the other thread, I'm afraid the second one might be a roo.

    Help ! Chick dying....

Our one Black Star has suddenly gone down hill very fast. They are two weeks old and all the other chicks seem healthy and vibrant. This little girl is very lethargic and laying down. She is smaller than the other chicks so I don't know if that is from something being wrong for a time now or...

    Chick ID ?

Quote: That was what I was thinking too a few days ago. I noticed how long it's legs were compared to the other chicks. Here's a pic from McMurrey of Red Game chicks After the EE suggestions earlier I went home and checked his/her legs. They have a definite greenish tint to them. Very...

    Chick ID ?

Quote: Is there a difference in an EE and an Aracauna? We actually ordered an Aracauna. These two are definitely different looking chicks. Both in physical appearances and personality. Guitartists - I'm not sure what a Pea comb is? Ray

    Chick ID ?

Quote: The Red Caps don't seem to have the black around the eyes. At least not in the pics on McMurrey's website. Did yours have black around the eyes? Do you have any pics you could share? Ray

    Chick ID ?

Would McMurrey send that as a Rare Breed? We ordered an EE with that order. Here they are together. The EE on the left has the very visible cheek feathers. The mystery chick on the right has chipmunk striping but it is much more pronounced than the EE. It is also a bigger/heavier bird...

    Chick ID ?

We are still trying to figure out our mystery chick from McMurrey. Would anyone like to venture a guess? I'm thinking it's a Red Jungle Fowl but that is not one listed in their Rare and Unusual breed section.

    Outside for the first time

We took the chicks out in the yard for the first time last night. They spent their time tugging on grass and chasing ants. Thanks for looking...

    Noob question

We lightly sprinkled grit over their food the 2nd day we had them. Last night I put another feeder in with grit so they have it whenever they want now. Between my wife and kids, they get held alot. They are getting very comfortable being held and usually just hunker down and go to sleep...

    Noob question

Thanks. We would definitely be with them. We live on 10 acres and have only one neighbor down the road so no cats or dogs to deal with except ours. We would definitely stay with them. Sounds like an adventure is in store for tonight. Thanks again.
