    Rooster Flock Thread

This is one of the few times I was actually hoping for a Roo. I bought these two Ayam Cemani chicks in hopes of getting one male and one female.

    Rooster Bachelor Pad Tips?

I’ve been successful with my Roo bachelor pad. I did have to re-home the most aggressive, which were: 3 Polish, 1 Dominique and 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte.

Is it a Roo or Hen?

They’re a lil bigger now. I’ll take better pics tomorrow. One is definitely bigger than the other. Both are Ayam Cemanis.

I have several roosters, but only one is nice to the hens. The others are mean to the hens and stress them out. Now I have the mean ones all together and the nice Roo has all the hen (around 60) to himself.

I’ll post pics of the coop once it’s complete. Currently working on predator proofing around the run. Next will be adding a ceiling to keep the hawks, falcons and bald eagles out.

    New to chicken raising

Hi Everyone! My wife and I bought a small chicken coop from Tractor Supply thinking we’re only going to have 8 chickens or so. We kept adding to our flock, so I purchased a large coop that was advertised locally. At this time, we have 7 hens and 16 chicks. We have: Rhode Island Red, Light...
