    Egg colors!

    Im sure this has been asked a thousands times before BUT can eggs change from white to light/ brown? I have 4 laying hens and 1 of them used to very regularly lay white eggs. Either shes not laying and im not picking up eggs often enough or her eggs have turned brown just like the other girls...

    What age to put chicks in with grown chickens?

    I literally just integrated my 10wk olds with the 1 yr olds....did FANTASTIC. I was nervous but (like you) they had constant access to eachother via fencing. Always talking and checking in. Did just great! Very happy. Cant wait till EVERYONE is laying.

    I have 2 14 month old laying girls and 3 10 week old babies. I plan on mixing them together soon. 1 of the older girls is very aggressive so I think shell be a problem but i am interested to see what happens cause 1 of my babies is super aggressive! They all have been able to see each other...

    My poor Hawk :(

    The last of the first 4 chicks I got in Jan. got killed today by my dog. I initially bought 4 in Jan and slowly 3 got killed from jumping out of the run and into the backyard where the dogs are. Out of 4 dogs 1 is chained up, 2 dont care at all about the chickens and the last one is the killer...

    Rooster coming when called?

    All of my hens coming running when they hear me approaching and if my youngest isnt out right away she does come out as soon as i call her name.

    Id say it depends on breed a little but mine started when she was about 10-12 weeks. It's funny cause it slips out between peeps!

    I know everyone on here has THIS same problem...'but if you want eggs you need a rooster'... really go tell that to my hens that lay me eggs every day with NO roo in sight. ive probably already educated about 20 people on how chickens work.

    I can not catch this squirrel, HELP!

    Ive tried to get husband to lie in wait on the roof and shoot it but we live in a neighborhood where that probably wouldnt go over too well lol. I really like the bucket idea, ive seen chipmunks drown them selves. Can I use regular sunflower seed oil? Thanks for all the help!

    Just gotta tell someone....

    In Jan. I got my first 4 chickies, 3 of them were killed by my dogs BUT the one that is left started making her big girl sounds today! No more little peep peeping for her, shes sounds so funny! Even DH thought it was cute.
