Ok, so this is my 2nd hatched. All was good up until day 20, when we had our first out of 44 eggs pip. I was checking in on the eggs regularly at this point excited for our hatchlings.
Well, randomly the temp spiked up to 104 ( couldnt be no longer then 30 minutes as i was checking constantly...

Thank you! He is also 32 weeks. Hes only ever mounted our older hens. Also, we have 2 other roosters that are 18 weeks old. One of them charged me last night so im assuming they are also coming of age?

Exactly! Our very first chicken that weve raised since a chickling to start laying! So exciting! Our two other layers we got as older hens. So this is just sooo cool to me!

And she just laid a beautiful light tan egg. Little booger. But as expected.. im about as giddy as any other crazy chicken lady that this girl is laying!

Well, still no egg from this little free loader lol! :p she seems to be back to hanging out with her siblings. They have about a quarter acre fenced in free range area for there portection ( we are knee deep in coyotes around here in Michigan) however they like to go beyond the fenced in area...
