Baby chicks getting beat up

Hi guys! So ive got quite the age mix in my flock. 1 hen, 2+ years, 2 hens 19 months old, 2 pullets and 1 rooster 28 weeks old, and 4 16 week olds. Everything was fine druing the summer and fall. No problems at all with proble. Children. However, now that its winter and get dark alot sooner they are all spending more time in the coop together. My babies are getting picked on, they are starting to look pretry rough.
My question is, should i build a secondary coop for this winter for the 4 younger birds and if so, how will i get them to use it?
Or should i just let natural take its place and let them find their way into the pecking order?

It's not so likely that the younger birds will voluntarily use a second coop, unless it is in a separate run.

How big is your Coop...? Do they have an attached run?
Adding your location is helpful.
What do you feed?

Also knowing what breeds helps.
Some are more bossy and others more docile.
If the new ones have funky feathers like silkies or Polish they can be targeted because they are different.

How much space on the roost in linear feet counts when night time jostling starts.
