Easter Egger, She sees me with a camera and stops to pose.
Feeding them some greens..
A week old..
The day they came home.. So cute
3 Week old chicks, Light Brahma and thats one of my easter eggers in the back.
Another one of my Easter Eggers, there starting to feather out very nicely...
Let the count down begin.
Some time next week my baby chicks will arrive, I will be receiving three Light Brahma's and three Easter Eggers. (My Pet Chicken.com)
It's been a long time since I have raised chickens, and never with out a broody hen, but I am confident in myself.
The past few months...
My Hen's will be 18 weeks Dec 26th, right now im running low on there grower feed, and was wondering if it's safe to start them on Laying feed a few weeks early?
Of just keep them on there normal feed until the 26th?
Thanks...
I have 5 Hens 3 Light Brahams and 2 Easter Eggers.
They wont start laying for a few more months, but my questions is how many egg's will theses breeds lay a week? Roughly?
I have never had these breeds before so I'm just wondering.
Any help will be great.
Thanks all..
I have not seen any bullying, they all get on very well, I'm wondering if maybe its a Roo. I would love to have one, but my Neighbors would not like that, at all....
Ok, So I have had my chicks for a few days now, (5 total) and I have noticed that one of them tends to set herself apart from the rest of the flock.
She does not seem ill, she eats and drinks and plays a lot, but when it comes time for them to settle down she tends to nest away from the others...
My chicks will arrive in just a few days, and I was wondering if I should add the grit to there feed or just leave it in a small dish for them to have at?
Everything else I'm sure of, it was just this one issue.
