Is this sticky duckling? Is this an emergency or just slow??

Everywhere I read said muscovy eggs should stay at a lower humidity than other duck eggs (~55F) and then raised to no higher than 70ish once they started hatching. I managed to help the last two out with a water dropper and peeling back some shell, being careful not to get water in their...

Is this sticky duckling? Is this an emergency or just slow??

One was literally stuck to the shell and just hatched and ripped the top part of his little beak off! How do I assist???

Is this sticky duckling? Is this an emergency or just slow??

I've kept it consistently between 69% and 72% according to my 2 hygrometers. It was a bit low when the first one pipped - I think it was at 55.

Is this sticky duckling? Is this an emergency or just slow??

These 3 Muscovy eggs I have all started pipping 5 days early. This open looking one was first to pip and that was 51 hours ago. He pipped dead center on the side and I saw brown/black underneath the pip so I helped in scraping some of the shell and brown membrane away. Since then he’s just been...

Freaking out, my duckling just hatched and is flipping around

So sorry to hear that. Your daughter must be very upset but it's sweet the duckling was with her. Was she still flopping on her back up until that point? Were there any other symptoms coming on that seemed to indicate she was about to pass?

Is this normal? Possible Psycho Duckling on hand...

I have a couple of eggs I've been incubating and last Wednesday night the first one (Cayuga/Khaki Campbell mixes) hatched. He was out of the shell almost a full day earlier than the other. Once the second came out, about 12 hours later the first started getting really restless. He was prodding...

Duckling pecking at unhatched sibling in incubator!

Is this a good or bad thing? The unhatched egg is kind of side zipped? he can get his beak through but his body is mostly still inside. The other one hatched last night and is now pecking/pulling at the other.... should I move him? Let him help??

3 out of 4 baby ducklings died

Your coworker sounds like she shouldn't be caring for living things. It'd be nice for someone to enlighten her to how terrible that level of negligence is. Good luck to her toddler.

Barnyard Mix Duck Hatch-A-Long April 2021

I had 3 hatch! There were shrink wrap issues but with some help they were fine - now I've got 2 little Pekin babies and 1 Pekin/Cayuga baby. Oddly I thought they'd imprint on me since they practically hatched in my hands but it seems they've imprinted on themselves instead. I guess that's a good...

Help! Accidentally knocked the incubator while one of my eggs was rocking (already externally pipped)....

Yes! Three hatched, including the one I thought I'd disrupted. He was shrinkwrapped but with a little assistance they all turned out fine. :) Now I've got two fluffy Pekin babies and a half Cayuga/half Pekin baby.

I did but I suspected it was off so I ordered another one yesterday. It's supposed to arrive today....

Help! Accidentally knocked the incubator while one of my eggs was rocking (already externally pipped)....

So as the title says, I've got some duck eggs in a Farmer Innovator incubator (it's set at 102.5 so Lord knows what the actual temp is, from everything I've read the temp reads higher than it is and the humidity reads about 10% lower than it really is... so my humidity says it's 60% right now)...
