anyone go to state fair? did you show? boys showed at county and middle son did well second yr his black cochins got reserve champ of breeding stock or better. now he's looking for a new rooster for his girls. so if anyone has a nice black cochin roo they are looking to sell. post me some pics.- sammileah

hello all I fell off the bbc wagon for awhile but its spring and chick fever is in the air. but I lost all but one chicken and all of my ducks last year. took the kids to waverly/antique acre sale and bought 4 new ones for fair. of course the prettiest one died already so i'm on the fence...- sammileah

chicken math 3 bantams = 1 chicken If you show it then don't count it. If you don't know the sex it doesn't count I have 4.66 chickens. (husband says we have 11)- sammileah

yay for some spring weather. I have to catch and seperate some ducks so i can hatch east indies. only roosters to live the winter were my 2 jersey giants, so i might hatch out some sexlinks with my rocks. I've had a bad goat year, I had my 2 dairys bred this fall, but my older one got sick...- sammileah

story county poultry done yay. drake runner got reserve champ. jersey giant hen got purple, 12 blues, 3 reds and 1 white. bantam cross breeds i told them wouldn't do well and a molting duck. goats did well too with 1 best of class and 8 blues.- sammileah
