    Yeah, I don't think we'll be letting our girls out in the yard. We have eagles and hawks around here on a regular basis.

    +1 on the galvanized waterer. They stay pretty clean and don't need to be refilled very often.

    Concrete floor coops

    Our coop has a cement floor, no drain. The walls and ceiling are sheathed in plywood with trim boards along the corners. Any gaps were caulked. Nothing can get in. We have pine shaving on the floor and plan to sweep them up when needed.

    I used treated 2 x 6's between my fence posts and fastened 12" of 1/2" hardware cloth beneath it.

    It's been a lot of fun. We did a ton of research on the build and my wife is very happy with it. A lot of the research was done here, so I thank all of you for your helpful postings.

    Thanks everyone. Last night was the chicks first night out in the coop. Had to go out around 1:30 am to check on them. Everyone was fine! This morning their exploring their new surroundings.
