I’m have a similar issue with my hens. 3 different sources have told me about Tylan 50. You can check out my thread and everything that I’m being told.
Gave the Tylan 50 to 4 birds. 3 are the same or slightly worse. 1 looks to maybe getting better. I don’t see nasal discharge or the breathing issue. I’m going to follow everything i have done with that one. Primarily I ran out of room to keep theses babies inside. So I have extra fencing and...
Update, don’t know if I said this or not. I have two coops, 4 BR in one coop that are laying. The other one I have 8 with two breeds HR & Americanas. None of the 8 are allowed in the BR coop. The BR don’t like them in there. The first sick bird I found in the BR coop. I left to go to a friends...
It was difficult to her to drink last night. We were giving her a mix with a syringe but it wasn’t substantial. I gave both the injection this morning. Now I was told once a day and alternate her breasts. So the difference is the frequency?
All 12 came from the same breeder. 2 different times. 1st was the 4 BR then few months later I went and got 8 more. The 4BR have been laying eggs since December. The other 8 are 4 months old. The 4BR are in one coop and the 8 are in a different one. What caused me to take a closer look is one of...
Got up this morning and I have another one. Going to sanitize all food and water dishes. Going to clean both coops. I read about apple cider vinegar. Gave her last night. She did drink it.
Is there Anything I can get from local feed store to give them? Is there Anything I can give the other...
She’s a Hamshire Red, I noticed her this afternoon kinda wheeze off in a corner by herself. Everything around here was closed by the time I discovered it. She’s just over 4 months old. I have 7 others that were brought in with her and we raised them sick chicks. Her wheezing has gotten worse...
Update, he is establishing himself. The one that was dominant hen has chilled out after the last tussle. He’s still separated from the rest for now. It’s still too new to leave him alone with them. Will continue doing this for awhile.
He’s so young that hasn’t even done a full crow yet. Wired because the oldest ones didn’t give him any attention. The 4 HR I think are close to laying. They have started squatting down and let me pet them. Every bird I’ve ever had including my turkeys last year would do that when they get close...
Hey everyone and let me thank you ahead time for you thoughts.
I have 4 hens (Barrad Rock) that are laying age, I have added 8 more hens (4 hampshire red & 4 ameraucanas) are now 4 months old. They get along for the most part. Older ones are dominant but don’t really hurt the others. I think...
I picked 8 chick up on December 3 and I was told they were 3 weeks old. Supposed to be all hens but as they’ve gotten older two or three are starting to resemble roosters. One of them I’m almost positive it’s a roosters.
So I was supposed to get 4 Ameraucana and 4 New Hampshire Reds pullets...
She does have a few open wounds but nothing deep. I did pick up some bluekote today because I read that on another post. From your responses I probably should keep her in an area where flys can't get to her at least until the wounds scab over right?
