She keeps getting up and plopping back down on her side and she is breathing heavily. When she gets back up she stands up as straight as possible and makes strange noises. What could be wrong with her and will she be alright?
Is it a new layer? New layers are known to occasionally lay a deformed egg or two and even experienced layers can sometimes lay a strange egg. As long as this doesn't become a regular occurrence she should be fine.
