    Hi was wondering during the winter months do i continue to let my chickens go in and out of the coop as pleased and be outside in the cold or should I lock them up inside the coop for the winter?

    This may sound silly, but I have 2 frizzle roosters that only will mate with my 2 egg laying silkies. My other hens, RIR, barred rock 13 weeks old they don't touch...are they too young or don't breed with that type of hen??

    I'm setting up to hatch my first batch of eggs.I have an automatic eggs turner, I read somewhere that after so many days to turn the turner off?? Is this right? And when do I do this
