Another Buff Orp, swollen bottom, eggbound hen #2??

I am so sorry for your loss. I have lost 2 buff orpington hens like that. I have found that if I do not keep a roo with them they do much better & rarely have that problem. Again, so sorry. It always hurts so bad to lose one.

    Hello from Arkansas

Hello from Florida to you Christin. It seems no matter how many nest boxes I have, there is only one favorite nest. The girls will stand in line to use it while the other nests remain untouched. Blessings.

Newbie wondering if i can hatch ducklings and chicks in one incubator

Quote: Yes they hatched at different times. You have to know the stop turning dates & move them out of your incubator accordingly.

Mixing Different Age Chicks in Brooder

I had same problem. The older chicks pick on the younger chicks. Best to keep them separated by their ages.

Newbie wondering if i can hatch ducklings and chicks in one incubator

I'm sure everyone does things different. I have had chicken eggs, duck eggs, quail eggs, guinea eggs & peafowl eggs all in together. With very successful hatching I might add. Good Luck to you.
