    Suddenly Lethargic Hen! Please Help!

    Thnk you for the reply! I have wormed the whole flock this morning with valbezen. Her crop was fine, empty and her vent is clear. She layed yesterday but not yet today. I dont see any noticable weight gain of swelling. She has gotten worse though, walking rarely and very slowley from place to place.

    I have birds of multiple breeds but I have a special place in my heart for my wyandotte. She is one of my most beautiful birds and only my ameraucanas lay better looking eggs. She is very sweet and independent. She lays very often as well.

    I have ameraucanas as well and the breed omes in many different colors. Your chick looks to me like like it could be a red. It can be a bit harder to tell with this breed but if you wait a little it might be easier to tell.

    Feed Store Chickies

    I think the left two in the bottom pic are the red stars, a good rir chick is actually really light then grows up and becomes extremely dark. Red stars are a cross between rir and usually leghorns so they loook very similar but are usually much lighter when they grown up. I hope this helps!
