    I started trying to raise mealworms this spring. I bought 2000 to start with with. I use 26qt storage containers with wheat bran and potatoes. The 2000 original I split up into 2 bins and let them grow until most of the pupated. After they changed into beetles I have been keeping them in 3 bins...

    can you feed chickens small amounts of meat?

    When I butcher the meat birds I boil up all the livers and hearts and such and freeze them. Then I'll defrost a handful every day in the microwave and toss it into my layers run and watch them tear into it.

    Post molting question

    My EE's both went into molt about the same time, one of them has gotten most of her feathers back and doesn't look so scroungy now and has started laying again a couple days ago, the eggs are a lot smaller than they were before she molted, is this normal ? I thought she was just getting back...

    I don't know about in the city limits but I know a cop that has about 50 rabbits in his backyard in Fredericktown Village.

    So freaking embarrassed -- but what to do??

    The last couple of days they have multiplied into the millions it seems. I threw a handfull of mothballs in my shop-vac and went around the house sucking thousands of them up, I'll check tomorrow to see if it kills them.

    Pecked on hen

    I got this hen from a neighbor this spring after it had been kicked out of his flock by the other chickens. Everything has been going well until this week, I noticed her neck and chest are being pecked on. I have not seen which chickens are picking on her, but is there something about this hen...

    Is this a Rooster?

    I've had 2 different people say that they think this is a rooster, and this is the only chicken that I've yet to see in a nesting box. Hopefully someone will be able to identify this chicken for me.
