    2 ducks (drakes?) fighting

We unfortunately didn't do much research on ducks before we got them. Someone at TS in line lol..was telling us how aggressive they can get ( ie: mate with chicken hens) n how messy they are..that's for sure.Lol They have not attemted to mate with the chicken hens, but I hope that never...

    chick is staying still

Yes, Just monitor the temp often. Do you have an infrared thermometer? It really does really come in handy. We use one for our fish tanks, they're very accurate, only +/- a degree.

    A lone silkie....

I don't think she will be lonely. Believe me that's what we thought when we went ahead and got two, and it turns out that both of them might be roosters and they fight. 😰😰

    chick is staying still

It's only been about 5 months since we ever had chicks and I think it has to be much hotter than that I think 90 to 95... Someone else please correct me if I'm wrong because I don't want to send out the wrong information but I'm pretty sure 80 is too cool.

Sorry I missed you said their ages lol. Silly me, but yes drakes are aggressive. Mine are to each other anyway, but like I said usually only in the water.

    2 ducks (drakes?) fighting

Yes their mating is aggressive but they usually only do it when they are in the horse trough swimming, but then they eventually stop .

    2 ducks (drakes?) fighting

Are they full grown? What breed? Drakes have a quiet raspy type quack and curled feathers on the tail. (Pekin) We also have 2 drakes and we used to have a hen, but she ended up passing away. The males do tend to try to dominate each other and mate with the other. Its creepy.
