Oh my goodness this is a LONG thread! I tried reading through the first few pages (that was a heck of a ride), as well as the last few pages. As someone who identifies as Ace, I'm not always accepted even into the LGBTQA+ family. I hope that's not the case here! There were too many pages to read...
I don't have a food saver, but I'd love to get my hands on one! For now we use ziplock bags and press as much air out as we can. Luckily the jerky never lasts long, so I've never had to test exactly how long it'll store for.

I don't think this counts as an entry since I'm only preserving it overnight (it's dinner tomorrow), but I wanted to show off my very first basil tomato sauce. Made with tomatoes and herbs from my garden.
The DE I have is what the feed store recommended. Is it not good? I can get a mix of sand and topsoil for them if not. Or should it be mixed with something else? Thanks for the great idea of burying the bin!
Hello! I searched for a thread to see if my question was already answered, and couldn't seem to find one, so please accept my apologies if I missed it somewhere (these forums are HUGE!) Anyway, I've been trying to set up a dust bath for my chickens. I got a medium sized tub from the Dollar Tree...
