    Hen overeating/overdrinking

I'm positive that her crop is empty in the mornings, I made sure of it this morning by separating her. I have a regular feeder (about 5 gallons) and leave it out there for them because the more shy ones don't get to eat when all the others are. She had wry neck as a chick which recovered through...

    Puffy eye oozing

Her eye got pushed back I guess even after all the pus was removed and she remained blind in the eye. It never seemed to cause her issues but she recently passed due to an unrelated issue.

    Broken/bent toe

I just noticed one of my hens with a toe bent back a lot. No bumbleboot and no marks of injury/infection. The toe almost feels detached? I don't know how long it's been like this. It doesn't seem to hurt her and she doesn't limp.

Antibiotics and steroids at the same time?

I have a hen who is very weak and can't stand up . . . she couldn't stand before she became weak. She drinks a lot of water and recently doesn't eat much. I brought her to the vet a week ago and he gave me Prednisone steroids to see if it'll help her regain strength in her legs. However, I...

    Large lump on hens thigh

Two days ago I noticed a large ping pong ball size hard lump on my hens thigh. She cab still fly, stand, and walk fine. It seemed bad and I cut it open thinking it was a cyst and there was white hard stuff inside but it was stuck to her skin and too difficult to remove without making her bleed...

She gobbled down 2 small scrambled eggs this morning and would eat every mealworm she sees. She also is still eating grass when I let her out.
