    Depluming mites?

Sounds good! We tried the peepers and they violently attacked their face and they flew off lol 😂 I have one bully in a dog cage inside the run. Maybe if she settles down with her aggression, the flock will distress but I doubt it. Lol 😂 Good luck!!

    Depluming mites?

No solution at all:( We now think it's stress and bullying. It's been a chore that's for sure. This hen is actually a very high strung girl. She's a red sex link. We also use sulfur and that will kill DM and so we deduce it's not that. Hope you figure yours out. It's frustrating.

    Depluming mites?

I thought this RIR was getting picked on. We use sand and sulfur and have diligently looked for mites or lice. Could this be depluming mites? Thank you

    Vent check help

Thank you. I recently went into the coop at night to see if anything was moving around and I didn't see anything. I'm going to look again just to be sure. I don't see anything red Or irritated on them as of now. Thanks

    Vent check help

Hello. I have 6 red sexlink and 6 black sexlinks that are 5.5 months old. They have a sand coop and sand run. No free range. I try and check them weekly and today I saw this on one of them and I am not experienced enough to know if it's live or mites or just poops. I use sulfur on the roost...

Heater lamps and 5 week old chicks question

Hi:) I have 12, five week old chicks (red sex link and black sex links) in their new coop. We have electricity out there for their heater plates. They have been thriving out there for a good 2 weeks as well. It is very roomy. I can even stand in it lol When I go to clean the coop every morning...

Ordering chickens for May delivery or pick up

We are in the Appalachion foothills in North east Tennessee. We eat a lot of eggs as most of our diet is carnivore. In the end, we would love to have 8-10 total so we can share with our neighbors. I did find a farm/hatchery about 3 hours away. The owner said as time approaches, give her a call...

Ordering chickens for May delivery or pick up

Thank you. Appreciate this. We did find a hatchery in TN we may have success with as I spoke to the owner. In the interim, I will have other options for us just in case. A variety makes sense now. I hope to do that now.

Ordering chickens for May delivery or pick up

Hello, First time chicken owners (hens for eggs to start) and thinking a head. We have a trip planned mid May so we were thinking to wait to get our chickens for when we get back (Mid May). This also gives us time to build a really decent coop and run. Right now we are liking the black...
