Aww........look at them
those gorgeous little faces :D
your girl goose is so cute with the chubby cheeks!! haha
and it's obviously a girl's face too...very sweeeeeet :D
I see that line in their chest feathers
ours have it too...I once put my finger in it...their coat is very thick indeed...
Great video!!!!
my Guardian does that head thing...like he's trying to catch something in the air
but there was never anything there, haha~
our geese began nipping quite hard a few months ago
at first, it was all very gentle, then gradually..as if they got a bit over-excited
and ended up...
The person who bought a gander from u, he sure knows how to pick, eh~
I would never part with my Guardian
everybody says ganders are mean and aggressive, but he really is the sweetest thing
he does chase & bite strangers (& my sister, haha), never me :)
Sugar is definitely the smartest tho...
Haha, that's my fault
my sister & I got in a habit of calling them babies
it is a bit misleading, coming to think of it, ooops~
When we first got them, my mum was a bit disappointed that they had patchy markings on them
but I thought it'd be good for telling them apart
Guardian's got a dark...
Hi Alexandra,
It gave me great pleasure to read about your geese
Such a lovely story!! :)
your Mais sounds a lot like my Guardian
He's the sweetest boy ever!! Now, he must've learned that I like to cuddle him
so when I approach holding my arms forward, he would stop and let me cuddle him
he...
well, we have 3 geese
Guardian the Gander, he has a loud, echoing, mid-tone honk that usually ends with a squeak
Milk the goose, she's quite quiet most of the time, but when she does, she's more of an Alto
Sugar, we are still trying to figure out what it is, quite possibly another gander...
We live in SW UK, so not very often do we get snow
When we do, it is not very often that we get them proper
This pitiful amount is just about all we're having
but it's our goose babies first time in snow!!
"I'm the prettiest"
"Er...wait...I'm not ready"
"ok, I'm ready now"...
mine do
I change the water in their trays & paddling pool
an hour later, it's all brown & muddy
my geese like to poke at mud puddles, get themselves all covered in mud, face & all (very cute actually)
then they'd wander over to the water trays and paddling pool
have a good old splash around...
we always use to joke that Sugar is a She-Male, hahaha
This morning, I saw Guardian stretched his neck out towards my sister, but literally 1 second later, he turned away as if nothing happened
my sister didn't even know it happened
I find hand feeding helped me get close to the geese, coz they...
Oh~ I live in the UK...I should've mentioned, hehe~
not being a sexist, but I'd be so sad if Sugar is a boy
does that make Guardian a Bi if he tries to mount Sugar too?
how kinky!! :)
Hi all~
Ever since we got our geese (well, goslings back then) 29th June 2012, can't believe how long it's been!
Never kept any pets really, had a couple of budgies when I was like 8-9 yrs old
had a chinchilla for a few months (it's really our grandpa's but we foster care it for a while)
then we...
Hi all,
Just have a query......
my 3 pet geese are friendly towards my sister and I
but I was thinking......if we ever have to go away (emergency...holiday...)
who can look after them?!
They certainly don't like strangers, it's not like they can be shipped off to geese hotels (is there any?!)...
I actually have the same problem...I've got 3 geese and we asked for 1 boy + 2 girls
The largest is definitely the boy but the other two...not so sure
Anyways, the smallest one is being bullied. The other two won't let her eat. I've tried feeding her separately but she won't eat if the other two...
Thanks for all the links, they sure looks like Pomeranians, but I'm thinking they could be mixed with Emden too. Their markings are a bit all over the place :P
Well, this morning when I put out the morning feed, Guardian and Sugar went straight for it, but unlike before when they used to mop...
